RUBEN AIDAN QUEZADA
MEDIA COMPOSER
Hello,
My name is Ruben Aidan Quezada.
I am an enthusiastic guitarist and composer who strives to create unforgettable and emotionally-impactful music for media.
As media creators translate emotion through the screen, I share the same passion for using music to interpret what cannot be seen.
Let us work together.

For nearly 16 years, I have been composing music to convey the human experience. Proficient in electric & acoustic guitar, experimental sound-design, and textural soundscapes, I've learned to apply my passion for evoking emotion through music into creating compelling scores for media.
As I've recently begun my journey in media composition, I approach my music with a fresh perspective of what can be possible for media scores. I constantly challenge creative norms and strive to shape the expectations of modern music.
Creating captivating art requires collaboration, and I would never be able to produce the music I have without working with others. I am eager to achieve the vision of the director and express every emotion that can be expressed through music.
From animation, to documentaries, to horror, and everything in between, I am earnestly invested in supporting and elevating all art with my music.

Receiving his first guitar at 12-years-old, Ruben would constantly create new music to play with his friends, family, school, and future bands. At 14, he received formal guitar training while learning Bass, Drums, Piano, and eventually MIDI programming at the International High School in San Francisco. After composing songs for classmates, school plays, and eventually school documentaries, he learned about media scoring as a potential career path.
After switching majors from Music to Audio Engineering at San Fransisco State University, Ruben was immersed in the world of professional audio production, foley, sound-design, and film composing. Post-graduation, Ruben realized his love for composing due to these experiences and immediately applied for Berklee's Online Film Scoring Program.
During his 3rd quarter, he had the opportunity to score his first independent short film with an animation student from the Lesley School of Arts. Combining live acoustic/electric guitar, bass, drums, synthesizers, and female choirs, Ruben was able to combine his musicality, emotiveness, MIDI programming, and recording techniques to create a truly unique score.
Following Ruben's completion of his Master's in Summer 2025, he will continue to pursue a PhD in Music Technology, following in the footsteps of his parents as educators for over 25 years. Just as Ruben is passionate for communicating emotion through music, he is just as determined to help others find their unique compositional voice. Ruben is not only interested in scoring for Film, but for Television, Video Games, Art Installations, Social Media, Companies, and much more.
